What to Expect at
Axtell Baptist Church
Axtell Baptist Church is a small and relaxed Baptist Church in the heart of the Axtell community. For more than 100 years, the church has been a family oriented place to worship together, raise children, and build community. You are free to be yourself here.
Congregation
Our small size allows us to warmly welcome and greet everyone who comes through our doors. We are very informal in the way we gather and worship, and typically we sing a mix of traditional hymns and modern choruses that bring back warm memories of growing up in church. We love to laugh and have a good time.
Serving Others
Our volunteers love to step up to help with music or to say a prayer or lead out in making announcements. We are a church who comes alongside others, wherever they are on their path to a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. One way we serve others is through our food pantry, where those in the communities we serve can visit with us to get what they need.
Time Together
On Sundays, if we don’t begin a service on time, it is because we are having such a good time visiting and catching up with one another. We enjoy having children worship with us and we believe that their experience in worship with the other adults helps prepare them to enjoy a lifetime of church participation. Our Sunday morning service typically lasts about one hour.
When You Visit
You are going to enter a relaxed atmosphere where you will feel at home. You won’t be put on the spot and won't be asked to do anything special. You are free to park wherever you like. Sunday School is in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00 to 10:45 . We have coffee and donuts and a time of sharing prayer requests and a short Bible study. We then go into the Worship Center to begin the service at 11:00am. You will be greeted by everyone. Please feel free to say hello to Pastor Chris and his family. You can document your visit with us by filling out the yellow card in the seatback in front of you.
